The 42nd Annual Belsnickel Craft Show, presenting approximately 140 local and regional juried artisans, will be held on Nov. 23 from 11 to 7 p.m. and on Nov. 24 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. All crafts for sale are handmade by artisans in the show and are not commercially manufactured or imported.
Local artisans at the show will include: Jonathan’s Spoons, of Kempton, with handcrafted wooden kitchen utensils; Mary Knop, of Bernville, with unique button creations; Constance Brooks, of Leesport, with mixed media fairy dolls.
Among the traditional crafts on display will be woodworking and woodcarving, pottery, baskets, tin, paper mache folk art, dolls and doll clothing, women’s and children’s clothing, silver and gold jewelry, quilts and quilted items, dried flowers, tole painting, weaving, scherenschnitte (paper cutting), clay sculpture, fraktur, Santas, stained glass, punched-tin art, wooden toys and Christmas items.
The show returns to the Boyertown Senior High School located at Fourth and Monroe streets in Boyertown. Refreshments will be available. Proceeds from the show fund the Boyertown Area Historical Society’s programs, maintenance of the historic building and museum, research and genealogical library collections, and educational programs.
Free bus transportation will be provided from major parking locations to show location. There is a small fee for admission ; children under 12 are admitted free, if accompanied by an adult. Location is handicapped accessible.
